Why You Need To Keep Your Lawn Mower Blades Sharp!

To keep your lawn healthy and beautify, it is essential to sharpen your lawn mower blades. There are many more reasons to keep your lawn mower blade sharpened:

• If you continue cutting your lawn with a dull blade, it  will shred and tear the grass, affecting its ability to absorb water and nutrients, and potentially opening the grass to infection.
  
  
• Did you know that dull lawnmower blades puts stress on your belts, bearings and your spindle housings (which hold your blades on?)  It is recommended that your mower blades are sharpened by a professional at every service appointment.

   

• If your blades are dull and need sharpening, you will notice that the lawn mower begins cutting the grass uneven or inconsistently. In some cases, it may not cut the grass at all. 

• Is your lawn mower pulling chunks of grass right out of the lawn, by the roots? This can happen with dull blades on your lawn mower!
