Automobile Maintenance Tips
Today, most modern vehicles are full of complicated computerized components and can’t be repaired without the correct equipment. However, there are still a few things you can do to help keep your vehicle in great running condition.
Below we put together several tips on some things you may be able to do yourself:
Automobile Maintenance Check List:
Read/know your owner’s manual. This can often extend the life of your vehicle and save gasoline if you’re not driving it correctly.
Keep your tires properly inflated.
Periodically check your spare tire and inflate it if needed.
Check your windshield wipers seasonally and replace when needed.
Change, or have your oil changed every 5,000 miles. (Check your manual for your car’s manufacturer’s recommendation.
If your car has had synthetic oil placed in it, you must continue using it for the life of your car.
Change your air filter every 12 months or 12,000 miles. Your air conditioner can experience major issues if your filter is not regularly replaced.
If your car has had synthetic oil placed in it, you must continue using it for the life of your car.
Before the warm weather arrives and then again before the cold weather comes, it is a good idea to check your coolant. If this isn’t done, serious corrosion can occur inside your car. Your car relies on the coolant as it affects the heater, water pump, radiator, and air conditioner.
